What we check
Four scores decide whether customers find you.
Each part gets a score, and every problem comes with a fix in plain English that you can pass to whoever looks after your website.
- Speed out of 100Google loads your page on a typical phone and times it. Most visitors give up on a page that takes more than a few seconds to appear.
- SEO: ready for Google and Bing out of 100Your page title and description, the phone layout, a sitemap, a sharing picture and the other details search engines read before they list you.
- AEO: ready to be the answer out of 100Clear answers to the questions customers ask, in sections, lists and tables that answer engines can quote.
- GEO: ready for AI assistants out of 100Whether ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude may read your site, and can tell who you are, how to reach you and where else you are found.
- Made for phones
- Open to AI search
- Lists or tablesPut steps, prices or features in a list or a table: the easiest parts of a page to quote.
Scores and brands
Good scores get you found. A strong brand gets you chosen.
People search for names they remember, and click the ones they trust.
What does the score mean?
Four scores out of 100, one for each way people find a business:
- Speed: how fast the page opens on a phone, from Google’s own test
- SEO: being listed on Google and Bing
- AEO: being the direct answer to a question
- GEO: being recommended by AI assistants
The overall score is their average. It does not count visitors: a famous brand is found by its name alone, while most businesses need these basics to be found.
What are SEO, AEO and GEO?
- SEO, search engine optimisation, gets you listed on Google and Bing.
- AEO, answer engine optimisation, makes your page the direct answer to a question.
- GEO, generative engine optimisation, gets you recommended in the answers AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude write.
How exactly do you score?
Speed is Google’s own PageSpeed score on a phone, as it is. The other three are points out of 100:
- Page title 13
- Phone layout 13
- Allowed in Google 13
- Description 11
- https 9
- Main heading 9
- Sitemap 8
- Main address (canonical) 7
- Structured data 6
- Image descriptions 4
- Sharing picture 4
- robots.txt 3
- Answers to common questions 30
- Words to read 25
- Sections with headings 20
- Lists or tables 15
- Questions marked up for machines 10
- Open to AI search 30
- Business details in structured data 25
- Contact details 15
- Profiles elsewhere 15
- Who is behind the business 15
A nearly right answer earns part of the points. Blocking AI training is shown, but never counted.
Why did you not score a website?
Some sites ask visitors to prove they are not a robot, or only send them on to another page. We never get around those checks, and we never score a gatekeeper page instead of the real one: we tell you what happened.
Is it really free?
Yes, all of it:
- Your scores and top fixes show straight away.
- The full report opens with your name, email and phone, at no cost.
- You can check any website, and compare yours with a competitor’s.
Can you fix what it finds?
Yes. Every site we build is set up for all of it from day one, and our SEO and AI plans keep it that way.
