Photo Resizer
Make photos smaller, and HEIC into JPG.
This tool shrinks photos for your website, WhatsApp or Instagram, and turns iPhone photos (HEIC) into normal JPGs. Free, and your photos never leave your computer.
How to resize photos for your website
Phone photos are far bigger than a website, WhatsApp or Instagram needs, and iPhones save them as HEIC, which many PCs and websites cannot open. Resized, they load and send quickly.
- Choose what they are for: your website, WhatsApp and email, or Instagram and Facebook.
- Drop in your photos, many at once. HEIC photos from an iPhone come out as JPG.
- Download them one by one, or all together as a ZIP.
Questions
About resizing photos
Why make photos smaller?
A photo from a phone is often 3 to 8 MB. On a website that makes pages slow, which costs you visitors and Google ranking. A 1920-pixel photo looks just as sharp on a screen, at a tenth of the size.
What is HEIC, and why won’t my photo open?
HEIC is the format iPhones save photos in. Many Windows computers, websites and forms cannot open it. This tool turns it into a normal JPG that opens everywhere.
Is it safe for private photos?
Yes. Your photos are resized in your own browser, on this page: they are never uploaded. The new copies also leave out hidden details like where the photo was taken.
Will the quality drop?
Not that you would notice on a screen: photos are saved at a high JPG quality. Logos and pictures with see-through parts stay PNG, so their background stays clear.
Is there a limit?
Nothing to sign up for and no daily limit. Up to 50 photos at a time works best.
